The Spanish wine region D.O. Rueda is renowned for its Verdejo grape. Dutch consumers love Rueda Verdejo; we drink over five million bottles a year. The Finest has been happily managing PR and communication activities for this client in the Netherlands and Belgium for over ten years.
Goal
The Verdejo wines from Spain’s D.O. Rueda are ideal for social gatherings. These wines offer the ultimate price-quality ratio, are easy to drink, and pair well with a wide variety of snacks. How do we ensure that Dutch and Flemish consumers choose Rueda Verdejo during their social moments?
Campaign
An integrated PR campaign in collaboration with valuable partners. This includes recipe development, video and photography, social media campaigns, press and influencer events, press kits, and media buying. The highlight was World Verdejo Day on June 10th, celebrated not just in the Netherlands and Belgium but in export markets worldwide!
Result
- Free publicity with a total PR value of 160 thousand euros;
- Free publicity on social media, reaching over 1.5 million consumers through influencers;
- Development of recipes and a video series in collaboration with borrel book author Susan Aretz;
- Five paid partnerships reaching over two million consumers;
- Four ambassadors for the promotion of D.O. Rueda Verdejo in 2024.
